Pastor Rick Crouch
Rick began as pastor here on March 1, 2017, but he first set foot in the door in 1973 at the age of one after his family moved to Daytona Beach from upstate New York. Rick was baptized in this church at the age of ten and also married his wife, Grace, here in 1995. He first became involved in the ministry of the church as a youth fellowship leader and later began teaching Sabbath school and leading a Friday night vesper service.
In 2003, he and Grace were called to be Outreach Coordinators for the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Carraway, Florida, outside of Palatka. He later became pastor in Carraway and served there until 2007 when he enlisted in the Army. He served in the Army for six years and moved back to Florida in 2014 to be closer to family. He settled in Cocoa, Florida, and went back to school and worked as he sought direction from God in what to do next.
The retirement of Pastor Wray Winborne in 2016 led the congregation to search for a new pastor, and after an extensive search, Rick was called to serve in February of 2017. Rick and his family are very happy to be back in Daytona Beach and are excited to see what God is going to do in this community.
